Hi,, can someone please help me,,, i have the galaxy sii and i had the pattered key lock on it and my daughter managed to get my fone whilst i wasnt looking and now its locked and asking for my gmail address which i created when i got the fone,, my major problem is,, i have forgotton it and the lady in the shop dosnt seem to have put an alternative address in,, my question is how do i retrieve my gmail address,, the phone will not do anything until i put thiss address in,,any advice much appricated :) Thanks xx
 
i think you are ... sol .. sorry.

they google account on any android device is very important.

i think your only option...is to take the device to your service provider.. and have them rest your phone to ... original setup. you will loose all your info and start fresh.

you will need to create a new google account. with new password. and this time.. you nave to make sure you can get this info at anytime.

hard lesson learned.
 
Can't you just go to the gmail log-in page from a PC and follow the links for "forgot user name/password"? I'm on my work computer so I can't get to gmail to check.
 
Well, if push comes to shove, you can reset the device to factory defaults and create a new login.
