Help Newbie question...i downloaded some tones from Zedge...how do i use them?

Just like the thread title...i see you can set them while in zedge to either a ring tone or notification, but how do i set them while in the individual programs settings? Such as setting up a Zadge tone for an email and text notification seperately? You can do it with the stock tones, but can you do it with these?

Yes, totally new to smart phones and im sure this has been asked...please dont bash.

How did you set it for a notification? I can only seem to set them as a ringtone?
