It appears that every time that I disconnect from my home wireless network I have to re-enter the network password. Since it very long its a pain to do this. my laptop does not require this and neither does our daughter's Kindle Fire. What am I doing wrong or is this standard procedure? I search this forum and the user manual and could not find anything on this question.

I don't know why that would be. I've never encountered it in my experience using my tab with various wifi network connections. Sorry I can't help you but I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will chime in.

It happened a few minutes ago when for some reason I lost the home network. When I went to re-connect it asks for the password.

check to see if you have the latest version...... just asked my daughter and she said hers did the same thing before she installed the last update

Sounds like you're using WEP on your router, and many newer devices, like the GT2 don't support it. Change to WPA or WPA2.

The update must have cured mine, the problem went away after the last update. Strange.
Thanks
