I am experiencing screen freezes, help? Also, I only want to hear an audible when my phone rings, not email or messages, how do I do that?

From your home screen, press the menu button (left of the home button). Then go to Settings, Sound, Volume. There you will see the volume settings for Media, Ringtone, Notifications and System. Email and messages are notifications and will use the Notifications volume setting.

Alternatively, you can go into each specific application such as email and messages and configure these applications to not play a notification sound. Check the settings. You can set the notification sound to silence.

Worked like a charm!! TY! Now, how about the "freeze" issue? I go to email, and very often the screen just locks, seems almost a lag issue? While I'm on the subject, when I receive emails with attachments, i.e. .pdf or .doc files, sometimes I get a message to d/l the document, sometimes I don't and the attachment just sits there. Any help?
