Newbie to Droids - Need Assistance

I am migrated from iPhones to an LG Optimus G Pro droid.
I have a couple questions related to battery charging
Every morning my phone is dead which tells me there must be things running in the background. I do manually "clear all" before going to bed but the phone is still dead in the morning.

Are there settings that I should be making? Also is there an application that would help me with this situation or an application that would search the phone for any type of spyware, or........type applications that maybe need to be removed?

Any assistance greatly appreciated
 
Go to Settings>Battery (or something like that. LG may have changed the menu tree). It's going to tell you what stuff are eating up the battery.
 
First off, the battery on this phone is better than anything I have ever seen, especially Saumsung.

At night, unless you need your email and Twitter constantly updating, turn off your WiFi and 4G signals. That will absolutely conserve the battery.
