newbie with questions

I am just curious how hard it is to make apps? I have no programing experiance but have an idea for a couple apps. Do I have any chance to be able to do it? Is there a good place on the web to learn? Or are there people you can email your ideas and if good they will make an app? thanks

I'm not a dev or have any real desire to be one right now but I would say with no experience its going to be really hard. Coding is like learning a second language its much easier to have someone teach you and be using it every day then just learning it for 1 or 2 random programs.

Try something like Java for dummies to get you started and you can use Notepad++ for coding, because it will color code everything properly, like variable names and such.

Take it slow, dont try to jump to your idea right away, and build a few small projects. Start at "Hello World!" and work your way up or your going to get overwhelmed.

If your really intrested in programming taking a class would be my best suggestion. It doesn't matter if you plan on using the language or not you need to get into a programmer way of thinking (Way out of the box) and any language will help with the mindset.

Android SDK. To make a simple app, its not too hard if you have a background in coding. Complicated apps are normally done by teams of people who are trained in making apps, so probably rule those out.

thanks sounds like something I should not undertake. Are there people on the sit that will make apps if you give them an idea? i will throw it out there in a new thread and see what people come up with.

Look around it may already exist. Since Android is open source there are a ton of devs and with the right idea or funding anything is possible.
