New to this community and android phone. This appears to be a great source of info. Have a mesmerize SCH-i500. Is there a flash player for it and if so, where do I go to download.

Adobe flash is distributed through the Android market. If it's available for your phone, and your phone is running Android 2.2, it'll be visible in the market for download. If it's not you can look at rooting the phone as it "might" still be possible to install flash on the phone.

Have 2.1 on my mesmerize. Info says to get z4root from market to initiate rooting process. Is no longer available in the Market. Next step?? Can one update to 2.2 or not really -

Unfortunately Z4Root was removed from the Android Market. It's still available over on XDA Developers through...

As for updating to 2.2, you'll probably want to check in the Mesmerize "All Things Root" forum to see what, if any, 2.2 ROM's are available for the Mesmerize...
