Hi all,
Bought a pad that has Droid operating system in...instructions that came with it are sketchy...don't know what brand it is either. How can I found out that kind of info...so I can best know "what" I can use or download...would like an EBook setup for my grandson...just don't understand it!

Thanks in advance...

Without knowing the brand/model, it's all but impossible to get reliable help. There are a bunch of generic tablets out there, most don't have access to the market out of the box. Getting access or side loading apps can get a little complicated. If you have access to email on the tab, you should be able to get the Amazon app store working fairly easy

Amazon.com: Appstore for Android

Just put the email address and they'll send you a link to install the app store application.

Good luck!

Welcome to the forums :)

On Android handsets, you can access the software information/android version by going Settings -> About Phone -> Software Information.

Obviously, About Phone might be something different.

Welcome to Android Forums!

Where did you buy it? There may be some clues as to what you have there. If you could post any information you see like model numbers or even if you could post a picture of it, it might help.
