Welcome to Android Forums!
Hope you will have a very positive first Android experience. Just thought I'd mention that "Droid" does not represent every phone running the Android OS, it is only a small group using the name "Droid" as a brand from Motorola, and now licensed to HTC. I'm only saying that because some folks are sensitive to the proper use of the brand.
