Hi All,

Just found recently the wonderful world of andriod.

Between me and the wife, we have the following, Galaxy Tab, Galaxy S, Galaxy Apollo.

Would like to learn more about rooting and stuff like that. My other main passion is RC Model Helicopters.

Please bear with me if I start asking daft questions, but at my age (48) all this is quite new to me.

No worries, we've all been new and had questions at one point or another! The site is full of users ready and willing to jump in and help when they can. Remember, safer to ask then to end up with a dead phone!

Jump on in... find the forums for your devices... read the stickies at the top of those forums. Feel free to ask any questions you may have along the way!

Interesting that you're 100% Samsung. You'd find some people who would cringe at the idea. I've had some mixed experiences with their stuff, but generally no better or worse than any other manufacturer.

The whole Samsung thing was by accident, I first got the Galaxy S as my phone but I found it a bit hard to see.

I got the Tab in a sale so that I could see things better, but the problem with the tab was that other people complained to me that the telephone call bit was very poor when i tried to talk to people, so i bought the Apollo, again in a sale and use that as my talking phone, and use the tab for everything else.

I am just abouit to start looking for a 10" tab, would you have any advice on this.

I'm a bit biased as I love the Asus T101 Transformer, but everyone seems to be going ga-ga over the Galaxy 10.1. And please, make sure you do try out an iPad2 just so you can say you did. FWIW, I view iPads like the suburbs ...they are nice, safe, sought after, but too uniform and completely boring.

In any case, you should shoot over the the Tablet forums and check with other users on recommendations based on your needs (and be sure to list them.)
