Help Newest metropcs / tmobile 6.0 kdz firmware

The battery on ver g got a Lot better for my metropcs phone. Its running as well if not better than lp ver d. I am going to just stay on it for a while. I can always recover katana if i want. Its pretty sweet being able to run what ever i want.
 
There is a newer update for ms631 available on mylg web site (see o/p).
It is identified as 6.0 ver 20j.

So far no one has been able to d/l it ( thank you @bkttk2 for the heads up ).
The update notes states its just goggle security updates. Maybe someone may be able to get it for us to share. I have my stylo ver j set so i probley won't be updating it just for goggle.

Very small 70+ mb update. I updated my 2 Stylos. They are no longer my daily phones.

Is there a way to flash it from Linux, without using Windows-based flash tool and USB drivers?

It was and is painless to me but l have tested every firmware and custom rom built for this device that there is.
Its what i do.
If your happy with what your running stay there.
No need to fiddle with what is working.
I'm on my third reboot and it has shown no ill effects so far. Its rooted , has twrp and good battery life so thats where i'm at.

Would like to but don't have the time or the knowledge. I have learned a lot via forums or messing up my device(s); but I don't feel I am at a point to start dev work. I am willing to help but not ready to throw something out there saying this works for me give it a shot.
 
Battery life on 20j seems to be as the same as 20g. The over all feel is more like vanilla marshmello with minimal bells and whistels. Its about even with lp but you will have to run less cycles for battery life to settle in.
 
I tried using this to unbrick my phone since LGFlashtool2014 says it can't connect to the server, but it's still bricked :(
It's stuck on Metro PCS logo.
 
@stovo check out your p/m 's. Changing to web view my be the problem when down loading from a third party source due to security restrictions.
 
@viperdink it just wouldn't dl correctly it shows that it's 19mb, but it only dl as very puny. and thats directly from the link on my pc. the once you sent dl"d fine tho. thank you for taking the time to send that to me. i have spent a many hours trying to make sense of the little info here and the a little more there and then the misinformation everywhere else so this is greatly apprecieted
 
Just a heads up they tried pushing a security patch today. I don't know what it was because i like the way my mm 20j is running now.
 
Got it rolling...
It's smoother than the train wreck my phone was turning into after i did some "tweaks"..
Tried the root script with adb n fastboot..
No dice..
I'm forever having problems with Fastboot drivers...
Goofy thing...i knew exactly what to do before i settled into my last android contortion...
Battery was better with debloated t-mo...
But asking it to think got real froyo nostalgic...
 
And all my attempts at using old stylo root scripts that use download mode get stuck at
UNLK
Maybe it's karma....lol..
Besides mildly frustrating....
Oh well....
 
Can anyone post a dl for a kdz of mm prerooted?...
I know that's asking a bunch...
But,at least my lameness knows how to flash kdz
If not..i know that's asking allot....
