News of Galaxy Note 8 Successor

Sorry if my title is a little bait-and-switch. I'm asking, not reporting, whether anyone has read anything at all about a replacement model for the now year-old and very out of date GN8. I've searched for any news at all in every way possible and there is not a peep! It is especially hard to imagine why nothing has been reported when:

1) Samsung is clearly making a name for itself as the SPen/Wacom digitizer tablet specialist, and has fancy new 10.1 and even 12.2 versions, along with the Note 3 phone

2) the 8" form factor has become the most popular non-full size tablet, all but eclipsing the 7"

3) The GN8 is adored by its many owners. I don't know how many Samsung sold - hobbled by a high price as it was - but it's hard to imagine that this product isn't in one of the juiciest growth areas in the business and, while the new Tab 8.4 "premium" covers the size (and is apparently quite nice, but astoundingly high priced ($399) considering the competition and the fact that it's likely to force the eventual Note 8 successor to an even higher price point or, worse, it will force the successor to have diminished specs.

Well, high priced or diminished specs or not, I for one am champing at the bit for a GN8 successor that has at least a FHD screen (preferably 4:3 aspect ratio), the extra SPen apps included in the 10.1 2014 and the Note 3, an LTE option.

Any news seen or heard? If not, what is your opinion of my "wish list" and analysis of the market, such as it is?

I don't know about an successor but I suggest you look at the Dell Venue 8 Pro. Not only is it cheaper then the current Note 8 but it's also faster, much fast actually, fantastic multitasking, better battery, better build quality, better camera, more storage 64GB vs.16GB, actually there isn't one thing where the Dell doesn't come up on top, even the reviews. Windows 8 might not be very popular for desktop use but on a tablet it's great. There is also Miracast for those who want to mirror their desktop on a Monitor or TV. These Windows 8 tablets are just so much better than their Android counterparts it's almost silly to even look at them anymore?
