Dude, the more I eyeball the motion, the more I want it!!! And just found out that they've got root for it! No cwm yet, which means no custom roms yet-- but I'm sure someone will discover a way soon. (Maybe even jb 4.2???/ or a cyanogen equivalent) It's way cheap, and even if it does crap out like my other lg's: it's only 150$! I'm still gonna wait til spring to upgrade, but this one is definitely in my crosshairs.

Shabby will be working on a bootstraped CWM for the Motion. It will allow us to flash themes and tweaks (Maybe roms?) but no custom kernels cuz of the bootloader :/ But that may change in the next few months. Apparently, the LG Regard is the Motions sister phone, and the guys in the Motion forums are looking to see if it could help us in unlocking the bootloader :)
 
If you're gonna wait until spring you'll probably want something else anyway.

We have a LG phone that's basically the motion with a bigger screen coming soon.

Waiting in the same boat. My bday is around that time and I'll start saving up some cash as well. As soon as that phone or an equivalent hits i'ma get it.
 
Looks like metropcs is starting to churn out those ics phones with nice processors at low cost. The future is bright.
