News/RSS app problem. Keeps adding all news back.

I have 4 subscriptions in the news app and the widget on the homescreen.

The problem is, read news keeps refreshing on the app after i've read and deleted it. If I read all the news, then delete them all so that it's empty, the widget will "load news" and everything will come back. Is this the way it's supposed to work? I thought only unread articles were supposed to sync but mine just keeps loading all the same crap again, as well as new stuff too.
 
I'm assuming that's the way it's supposed to work.
I hate it though. I've been looking for a RSS replacement asl day but haven't found anything yet.

That sucks bad lol.

I'll look too, let me know if you find one. I liked this one until I noticed that no matter what I did, it would keep adding back the same news i've already read and deleted. Having 70 stories sit there and rotate on the homescreen sucks when you've read them all!
 
Tried Pure RSS. Not as easy to set up the HTC news app but it's still pretty simple'. I have all my favorite blogs in there by doing some copy & pasting.

Now to find a decent email app.
