Help Newsreader doesn't sync anymore

The built-in news reader in my MyTouch 4G no longer syncs after a couple of weeks. The only way for me to fix the problem is to do a factory reset and sync everything including downloaded apps. Aside from being cumbersome, this process also eat up my data plan. Is there any other way to remedy this problem? TIA.

Another workaround is to download google reader and let it sync...that will fix the built in news app. After that you can delete g reader, but you might want to just keep it installed (or at least a back up) in case the built in app stops syncing again.

Sorry for the late reply but it worked! Also having Google reader using the same gmail account in my generic tablet also helped too! Thanks!
