Nextbook tablet's power button doesn't work

[Android Question]

My Google next book tablet won't shut down or lock when I press it. In order to put it to sleep, I let it have inactivity. I've tried turning it off by holding it, and I've also factory reset it but it won't turn off. Also, I can't turn it on without my charger turning it on! I need help!

Sounds as if the switch needs to be replaced.
