Help Nexus 10 Repair

The hdmi port has become loose. I called Samsung warranty department and they said it is a Google responsibility. (I purchased it through Google Play). On the Google site it advises that warranty for the device is to be provided by. Samsung. I'm stuck. Any suggestions?

Print out that notice on Google and send it, with a request for repair authorization, to the office of the CEO of Samsung. Evidently the tech support droid you got doesn't have a clue. (If you have its name, and include that on your request [as in "John S, on Octembuary 39th, at 37 o'clock, told me that warranty repairs are Google's responsibility"], you'll help to improve Samsung's tech support.)

In the UK its the responsibility of the place you bought the device from, so in your case it would be the Google Play Store who have to look after the repair. If you're outside the UK you might want to check your consumer rights.

Sending it blindly to the CEO of Samsung is quite crazy & I wouldn't want to send my device out randomly in the hope someone would do something with it.

I called Google again and this time I got another agent who was most helpful. He is arranging to send me an RMA to return the defective device. Apparently they will send a replacement right away and charge my CC until they receive the defective unit.

Well, the replacement device arrived. I sent the defective one back to them. Now if they will just release the charge on my credit card I'll be a very happy customer.

I spent 3 months on the damn phone with Samsung about my Nexus 10- they try to deny all responsibility for the device, even if told that Google is responsible, traditionally
