If it's too good to be true...it's fake...I can't even consider it a rumor if you don't give us more info. Like where you work and how you came across it?

I'm a Senior Electronics Engineer at a well known company headquartered in MN. We manufacture a fairly large percentage of circuitry found inside many mobile devices (phones, netbooks, e-readers, etc.). We work directly with companies such as T-Mobile, Verizon, Google, Microsoft, Apple, ASUS, and many others. In fact, we created the microtouch screens used for Microsoft Surface (if you figured out the name of the company please do not post it here).

We have received an order, from Google, to manufacture some of these specifications for shipment by next the middle of 2011. Obviously not all of them and not even close. The specs given were only a portion of what I posted, the majority of what was posted was from someone else within the company, not me, and I have no idea where he/she got them.

That's what I was shown but I don't care. We are making stuff for Google, that much I know is true and is fact. As far as what it's for? Well, that's up to them I guess. We have a product to make, with certain specs, to be delivered by a certain date. The order came to my desk less than two hours ago.

Guys, what have I been telling you, there is much better hardware coming out in Q2 2012! Read the news stories! In Q2 the new Tegra i7 quad core 1.8 Ghz core, plus Sharp is planning to release there 4.3" 1200 x 800 (700 dpi) screen. Go ahead and waste your money on this phone, I know I am going to sit in the waiting room till Q2.

Not doubting your story but the T4 is the only thing doesnt fit. Even for 2012. The RAM also seems like a big jump. If true though it will be kickass.
^--that, lol :P

If a phone with the above spec is coming out running pure android...man I'm sold! Until then it sounds like a dream phone :P

no ... a dream phone is like this : 8GB ram ddr2 + intel quad-core 2.8GHz + 1GB ddr3 nVidia chipset + 80GB internal + expandable card slot + 6000 mAh batt + 4 inch super-SAMOLED that you can see even on "the sun" , as bright and shiny as in night time.

now that's a phone !!!

I think you've been on the sun looking at your phone a little to long. ;)

google is not a hardware manufacture.. if a nexus 3 or 4 was in schedule for manufacturing or in progress, an order for material would come from htc, motorola or samsung but not google

You sure about that? I would think Google would be the one place the order on an experimental device.

I have no idea, really, I would just figure.

You forgot the HDMI port so you don't need a home entertainment system - you just come home and plug your phone in.

Also, intel quad-core? Why not i7-980x? Now that's a phone!
