Nexus 4 Back Glass

I recently decided to try a Nexus 4 from T-Mobile but had to return it due to lack of service in my house. I happen to notice that there was a small rectangular cut out the glass above the LG logo. The cut out was covered with a black sticker that had some sort of info on that I could not read.

After looking at some other pictures of the Nexus 4 I have not seen this on any others. What is going here? Personally, I thought it detracted from the phone and I could see some de-laminating in one of the corners.

Anyone else notice this?

There shouldn't be a cutout above the LG Logo, it sounds like the speaker cutout to the right of the LG Logo. That black sticker had your IMEI Number on it.

Okay, that's weird. It definitely was were the IMEI sticker was then. I hate stickers so I removed it and underneath the glass was a cut out. Hmmm...

Very strange! My IMEI sticker fell off so I can confirm there's no hole under it. Maybe it's a T-Mob special feature ..

I got my Nexus 4 from T-Mobile & it's not. I took my IMEI sticker off.
