Nexus 4 verizon

So, I think we've all pretty much become used to the idea that the amazing Nexus 4 will never hit verizon. (Ok I can't lie, I'm still not over it)

But just for curiosity's sake, does anybody know WHY this is happening? I was given a nexus 4 to borrow for a couple months while I was a Google Specialist, and It was awesome! Good battery life, no crappy ass moto blur or htc sense, gets updates immediately. I WANT ONE!

Anyways, I can't find much on the googles except people complaining like I am right now. I just wanna know what the dealio is. Is verizon tired of not being able to put all their stupid bloatware on the phone so they just won't allow it? I just wish ATT didn't suck I would probably go there just for the Nexus 4.

Because they were terrible at updating the previous ones. I like to think of of as pappa Google spanking Verizon and sprint. It took Verizon nearly 3 months to get jellybean on the galaxy nexus. Sprint wasn't much better

Also making a seperate CDMA version would increase costs

That and I think Verizon puts the lock on the device and the most bloatware...Google really didn't like that at all

It is what everyone said above plus Verizon blocks Google Wallet (which is awesome on the Nexus 4).

Basically, Verizon wants control and doesn't deserve a Nexus. They had their chance and screwed it up.

yeah but couldn't we just root it and fix all those problems?

I really really want that nexus 4 dangit.

amazing the things that we can get upset about. ha. I'll stop complaining now.

Rooting can help many things, but it won't solve the incompatibility issue between the GSM only Nexus 4 and Verizon's CDMA only network.
