Help Nexus 5 all volumes have gone low

Hi,

I have noticed that the past couple of days my Alarm, Media & Main Ringer Volumes
have all gone very quiet, even if I turn the sliders right up to Maximum they are all
still only at about half the volume level they previously where!

I have tried rebooting the phone but that has not made any difference.

Does anyone know how to get the volume levels back to original?

Phone Spec:

Model: Nexus 5
Android: 6.0.1
Patch Level: 5 July 2016

You could try clearing your cache.
Then look at any apps that use sound to see if they have some settings affecting it.
As a last resort you might try a factory reset.

I will clean my cache and then have a look at apps. Really want to avoid a factory reset.

This has affected my phone and my wife's phone as well, both running the Nexus 5. The call volume bar no longer affects how loud the calls are--adjusting the bar does not increase or decrease the volume on headset/handset or speakerphone. Additionally, if we put someone on speakerphone they get terrible feedback.

A call with a "google support specialist" did nothing except suggest a factory reset.

I don't know if you are rooted or if they've changed anything but previously on the nexus 5 you could boost the volume by changing some values in the build prop.

There was also an app to automate the process but I'm not seeing it on the play store anymore.
