Help nexus 5 auto brightness

Hey I'm sorry you're having issues with your device. Its always a Pita to get things back to normal after having to fix something.

I took the liberty to move your thread over to the nexus 5 area where you're bound to get better help with this issue than in the Android Lounge. I wish you the best and Good Luck on your issue.

No matter if it's Android or iOS, my hands on experience with Auto Brightness has never been fantastic. Or even acceptable for that matter. I've found its best to set the brightness manually, it's easy to achieve the results I want that way.

No worries. I've held my palm to adjust the light and it didn't work. It dies however adjust to different lightings on its own.

I agree. Just be warned that if you set the screen to the dimmest level for indoors you might not see it when you go outside (that's been my experience with my current phone). You'll need to memorize how to unlock your phone and turn the brightness up without seeing the screen. I'm hoping the N5 will be better than my current phone in auto-brightness adjustment and battery usage so that I don't have to do this anymore!

I always have my device set to minimum or near minimum brightness, and know if I'm outside I just need to swipe the quick settings down and I have an auto brightness toggle in the upper left.
