nexus 5 - completely stopped

my problem is about nexus 5
so today, in the morning i woke up like always , i switched on my phone, but it wasn't getting on... the last night i dont remember switching it off too ... i tried charging the cell, while it was already charged upto 78%~ the last night ... so i cant understand why it would stop completely
its been almost 30 minutes, charging .. and it seems to not start ... the screen is totally blank... i have no idea what to do
i had purchased this phone , just a week back, just a week, whats more i haven't filled the memory too .. 4GB/16GB is filled ..
any idea on what should i do ? i appreciate your help

If it's a week old, bring it back. If you;re doing something wrong, they'll show you what it is. If the phone's defective, they should replace a week old phone.
