Nexus 5 help!

I dropped my nexus 5 recently and over the short time it was cracked the screen turned black and is now unusable. My question is do I have to replace my digitizer or can I just put a new glass panel on the front+

If the phone still responded to touches, then it's not your digitizer. It's the LCD screen. From what I see they come as an assembly, but you might want to call Google first ....

Agreed - if you bought the device from google play, they'll likely replace it under warranty
