I had this issue when I upgraded to Lollipop. Here's a quick way to check if my solution will work for you: Go to settings > About Phone > Status. Scroll down to where it shows "My phone number" and if it doesn't have your number listed there then you somehow got deregistered with the network. You need to call Cricket and have them reset you on the network.
It's a 5 minute phone call since they don't just allow you to tell them what to do. Be patient and pretend to do whatever they ask until they try to reset your phone on the network. Once they do, you should be good to go.
