Nexus 5 out TODAY means new Best T-Metro upper mid-range deal

on a mintyish N4 from Swappa.

Just today prices are DOWN around $30.

There's a nice 8 G one now for under $200. (None of that space issue like on almost ALL the mid-range phones coming out.)

IMO, a N4 for even $20 more than a LG F6 is the better deal.

When the prices drop down to $175 or so, it's going to make staying on CDMA a little tough... :o

if you are this concerned over switching plans etc, why not switch to tmobiles 30 dollar plan when you get pushed off cdma? with grooveip pro (its 5 bucks) it intergrates into the stock dialer, use the google voice app to send texts (or do what im doing, forcing everyone to use hangouts with me) and youve got unlimited mins, unl texts and unlimited data (throttled after 5GB's). especially if you stick to wifi when you get home etc you wont notice the difference.

wife and i is 60 bucks a month and we can have our hearts desire of phones provided our wallet lets us :P

For me, that's a lot of hoops to jump through to go to $30 a month. I text a far amount and my cell is my only phone. It's important to me they both work every time, all the time, glitch free.

My usual use not switching to wifi at all is around 3-4 G a month. I could probably save $5 a month fairly painlessly over what I'm paying now by using wifi mostly and getting the 2.5 G Metro plan.

I'm not terribly concerned. Even going to the $60 unlimited GSM plan with Metro saves me 30% from what I was paying with Vzn. There is also the Straight Talk option.

Yes I squawk about the $5 upgrade to GSM fee but that also says a lot Positive about T-Metro when that's my major gripe with them. My main squawk is that right now, I just don't see any Real Benefit to switching to GSM For Me.

It's not MY fault that some either can't Read the first line of the post or Retain it for a whole 7 written lines.

Reading comprehension is everything.

I hate to burst the GV bubble but Google is ending the GV workarounds (GrooveIP) and is requiring them to follow a new API or they will be shut down. This really sucks because I was considering the T-Mo $30 plan and this sort of ruins it for me.

Do you have more details? When the requirement will be put in place, will the requirements be easy for the VOIP apps to meet?

Makes perfect sense to me.

Stands to reason the carriers would put the thumbscrews to Googly as Voip takes money right out of their hands allowing peeps to still call all day long on the limited talk plans.

its actually all about the big G. they introduced sms in hangouts. picture msging was already there but they are adding mms. iOS hangouts lets you do voip, we can do video calls already.making it the one stop shop for data people could make the aosp dialer obsolete and strengthen googles control.

I did. When I typed it.

There's not a single thing wrong with it.

MY reading comprehension isn't the problem here.

I see what you mean, you're saying Nexus 5 is out which means a new deal on the N4, my bad, but at first glance it seems like you're talking about the N5. Which is mostly because the N5 just came out and expectations are to talk about the brand new phone instead of the old version lol but its good news the prices of the N4 are going down i really want to try Ubuntu, i might install it into the N5 if i can, havent installed custom roms since windows 6.5 :o

Mostly?

I don't think so.

I'd bet you money as many, if not More posters here will buy used N4's now than will buy NEW N5s. There was about a 10% price drop the very first day the N5 was out, to me that's a nice chunk on day 1. IMO, a minty N4 for $200, even the 8 g blows the $200 F6 out of the water.

i do think the N4 is better than the f6 for sure, idk if more people will by the N4 than the N5, might as well fork up an extra $100 and get a 16gb N5.. a quick search on ebay and found an 8GB N4 for $225 not bad...compare it to the F6 i'll take the N4 any day, but compare it to the N5 i think most people will rather pay the difference, $349 its a steal.
