Help Nexus 5 Storage

Lurker
Hi, so after some very irritating years with a Galaxy Q, and HTC Desire C, I decided that I'd upgrade my phone, and chose the brand new N5. Batterywise, it isn't great but much better than my previous device. Sadly, there is no SD slot, and I went with the 16 GB option. I noticed in my file explorer (storage/emulated) that there are two folders; "0" and "legacy" and they are identical. This limits my space. What do I do? Thanks!

Those are essentially symbolic links the system is using. The files are only in one location, there are just several pointers to them. There are not redundant copies taking up extra space.

the 16GB Nexus 5 should have about 12GB free out of the box (4GB being used by Android)

Hook is correct, the folders aren't duplication's, 1 is just a link to the other, like a shortcut on your PC desktop to a folder on your hard drive.
