Hello.
I recently bought a nexus 5x from a reputable 3rd party website (eBay), received the nexus 5x in the condition that was decribed. It has a terrible constant lag, very low frame rate and sometimes random static lines showing up on the screen when an animation is played such as system animations, video playback, ECT. I have monitored CPU speeds which seems to be normal, battery life is normal as well. I've done all kinds of things to try to fix it, flashed the stock Google image, custom Roms, I have checked to see if it was a real nexus 5x by doing imei checks, checked the motherboard codes, looked for physical signs and determined that it is real. Do you guys think the mothorboard is going bad or could it be a screen that needs to be replaced? When I received the phone, it was encrypted, I decrypted it by reflashing the stick firmware, that didn't help the lag. Has anyone had this problem before? I don't want to return the phone, I'd like to possibly fix it, any help would be appreciated greatly.
Also, the performance of the phone seems normal, apps load at normal speed but just at really low frame rate.
EDIT: I used several hardware testing apps to text clock speeds, amd I noticed under GPU stress tests, it says 0 percent load even when video/animation rendering is present, so basically it's like the GPU is not being used/disabled. Is this a hardware problem? Is it something I can fix?
Here is a screenshot of cpu-z on the nexus 5x
