Nexus 6P Black Bar Explained

Android Police has a nice little write up for what exactly the black gorilla glass 4 bar is atop the back end of the device.

Basically its there for NFC and connectivity due to the aluminum body of the phone.

Why didn't they just color it same way as the plastic piece at the bottom? Why use a black bar I guess? I think it would be much better if it was an off silver or off white color. It looks fine on the graphite color though.

Anyhoots, I still went with aluminum because I figured I'll probably have a case over it anyways and color won't really matter.

I'm going to disagree. I don't care for the iPhones, where they tried to match the plastic/rubber areas to the metal color. While I'm not sold on the black bar, I do think it looks better than what Apple did.

It was uncomfortable while at the first sight,anyone agree ?

The white version especially stands out of sight with the obvious color contrast.

I'm leaning toward getting a smoke black one, then it won't be very noticeable. Get a case and forget it altogether.

I didnt like the look of it at first either, then I went online and saw what case manufacturers were doing and realized its not actually a big deal for me.
