Nexus 7 3G Question

I am about to pull the trigger on a Nexus 7, and am interested in the 3G. Does anyone know if this will be like the iPad where you can just buy 30 days worth of data without a contract or will a comtract be required? If a contract is required, then I'll just go with the wifi. Thanks.

I'm guessing it'll just fit a sim card and wherever you get your data from is your business.
Seems about right for a Google approach.

i read somewhere that IF the physical size matches up you should be able to inter change them from lets say the ipad and the nexus. so if you already pay month to month or on a per month basis you can just pop out your sim from your ipad and insert it in the n7 and pick up data. but only if the physical size matches up.
