Nexus 7 (5.0.2) vs Nexus 9 (5.0.1)

I flashed the "l" factory image for my 2012 nexus 7 last night & have had a day to play with it beside the nexus 9. Doing mostly web browsing they both have advantages. The Nexus 7 has an awesome battery life (still after 2 yrs) but the n7 is a little slow loading some heavy pages. While the Nexus 9 doesn't have the greatest battery life the screen size and speed really make a difference ( but so does the price). I still love the size of the N7 (its pocket friendly & wouldn't hurt as bad to lose or break) but the screen real estate of the N9 is nice too. I'm now kinda torn between the two of them. Of course the nexus 9 kills the nexus 7 in specs but I really think the nexus 7 running 5.0.2 is still a worthwhile tablet. I'm keeping mine :)

I still love my N7 (1st gen 2012 version).

My son was interested in the N9 since the original Moto Xoom (wifi) that he inherited from me was being balky running some recent games and videos (mostly Twitch streams from what I understand).

So, he decided on a 2nd gen / 2013 N7 since it's still available and has a was a little easier on the wallet than the more expensive N9 (which I'm sure is a also great device).

Cheers!

I'm almost tempted to sell my N9 (& get out of some debt) now that my N7 is back up & running. Especially since the 5.0.2 L factory image & new motherboard gave it a breath of new life ;)
