Nexus 7 Battery Capacity

I've read that the Nexus 7 comes with a 4325 mAh battery, I didn't check that information on my Nexus until one or two weeks later, I started checking the battery more frequent after installing a small app called Battery Info, and the maximum capacity of the battery at full charge is 4175 mAh.

Anyone has a 4325 mAh battery like advertised ?
 
There's no way that any app can measure the actual capacity of the battery in the same way that the battery manufacturer specifies. I'd say the results you see are pretty close, certainly not enough difference to imply that a smaller battery than specified was used in your Nexus 7.

Yes, the difference is only about 3.5%, not a big deal, I'm just wondering...

BTW I tried a couple of different battery applications and they gave similar results, so apparently the manufacturer has a different way to read the battery capacity, or maybe the batteries have lost a bit of its capacity over the time before being sold to the buyer.
 
I think they lose a bit and you can never be 100% accurate on what the capacity is anyway. I'm also pretty sure that app isn't reading the battery itself, rather a file which tells the OS what size the battery is. One of the apps I've used on an old phone reported the same value, no matter what battery I had in.

If you want, I'll see if I can dig out the article I found a while back that gave the true capacity of batteries against what the manufacturers report.

You also have to have enough power left in the battery for it to be able to run the Nexus 7 to measure its capacity, so you never can run all the way down to 0 amp hours remaining, 3.0 volts without crashing the Nexus 7.

I imagine its set lower than real capacity to kill the power before you damage the battery from having it drain too much

I believe this is true. Li-xx batteries are not like Ni-xx batteries that you can run clear down. If you run a Li-xx battery below around 3 volts it starts to lose capacity.
 
My N7 starts to turn off itself when the battery is at 4%, so I reckon that when the N7 is completely shut down the remaining battery capacity should be around 6-7%, right ?
