Nexus 7 contact events not showing up in Calander

When I enter a new contact in People on my Nexus 7 and include an event like a birthday or anniversary in the description, the event does not show up in Calendar on my N7, or on Calendar on the Internet. It does show up in Google Contacts on the Internet.

But both the new contact and events DO show up in contacts and calendar on my Galaxy S2, AFTER entering them on my N7.

Why are my N7's new contact events syncing with my Galaxy S2 but not syncing with it's own Calendar?

How can I make these events that I enter in People show up in Calendar on my N7?

Ditch that app and use Contacts Plus instead. A much better app IMHO.

Thanks but I'm not looking for a different app yet. I want the stock calendar app in my N7 to show my contacts events like birthdays and anniversaries.

Has anyone else had my experience? Is it true that the stock calender in the N7 WILL NOT show contact events like birthdays? I am on JB 4.2.2.
