Nexus 7 Dock worth the money?

I received the Dock today and I'm not very happy with it because for what it costs

I love the dock, and in fact I've bought two of them. It would be nice if the dock was cheaper - maybe someone will eventually make a cheaper version.

I mostly use the dock just for charging, but at the moment I'm staying with friends, and I'm using my N7 in the dock as a clock radio (whick works very well!).

I'm really cheap, so I use one of these for my old HTC Flyer to prop it up and use as a bedside clock:

Since it never gets unplugged, I'm not worried about it.

I can see is it will stop the charger getting broken after plugging it in numerous times to the tablet. I suppose that is the real reason I got it

100% why I got it. Just dropping the N7 into the cradle without searching for the 'charging port' is worth the money to me.

Thanks all, I'm getting over it now. I think the worse thing was Google charging so much for postage

I agree that the ease of charging as opposed to having to plug the usb cable in all the time makes the dock worthwhile. I was personally disappointed when I plugged some speakers into the jack on the dock as the output seems to be attenuated so that the volume was lower than I wanted. I ended up with a Bluetooth speaker that sits near the dock so when I plug the tablet in it pairs with the speaker, works better for me.
