Help Nexus as GPS

When using the Nexus as a GPS, how can I get the display to stay on? The phone is plugged in and in the horizontal position. I am using google maps.

Either go into developer options and check stay awake, or use the actual GPS voice navigation instead of maps.

If you use Navigation it will stay on, not sure about Maps though. Might check under the settings for Maps.


Also, if you go to settings> developer options there's a setting to keep the screen on while charging. That way if you're using Maps and connected to a charger, the screen may dim but will never turn off and a tap on the screen will wake it up again. Hope that helps

Thanks. I knew I had seen the stay awake box, but couldn't find it. I will try the changes.
