Nexus on 4G LTE?

My current phone is an AT&T Galaxy II, so obviously no problem working on AT&T's 4G LTE network. But I'm not so clear on whether all 4G LTE networks are really the same and if a phone bought unlocked -- e.g., from Google -- would work with my plan.

I'll probably continue with AT&T or (more likely) go with their new Aio plan. Will an unlocked phone like the Nexus communicate using LTE?

It should, the FCC docs show that it is compatible with both of AT&T's LTE frequencies.

didnt know ANY gs2's came with LTE hardware built in....well imagine that!!

Yep, AT&T released the gs2 skyrocket a couple months after the original that included lte hardware. I'm sure many who bought the original workout it weren't too pleased.

Yep GS2 Skyrocket came out at the same time as the HTC Vivid. They were the first two LTE phones on AT&T. I opted for the HTC Vivid (x2 - one for my wife). Then 6 months later I upgraded to the One X. Then the Nexus 4 came out and that was at first a tough decision if to give up LTE that I had had gotten used to for a year. It was a good decision as the Nexus benefits made me realize Nexus for life. HSPA+ was good enough. But every now and then when I'd do something on my wife's Vivid I realized that some browsing was faster. So I'm finally ready to get back to having LTE with the Nexus 5 (x2 - wifey gets to upgrade too from the Vivid).
