Nexus One Insurance

i chatted up t-mobile within 14 days to add insurance. i was specifically asked if i had the nexus one, i said yes. i was given a quote of the lesser of two cahrges, aka the 4.79 instread of 5.99. i took it.

for those of you that added the PHP insurance, did T-Mobile ask you for any information about the phone? I called Thursday to add the insurance, of course they added it no questions asked. That's part of the problem, no questions, not IME number, no invoice fax nothing. I am concerned that should something happen to my phone that asurion is gonna say that they have no record of the phone and not cover it. anyone make a claim yet?

I added insurance for my N1 yesterday. T-Mobile didn't need any information (IMEI, etc.) and knew I had the N1. The insurance is filled by Asurion. ($4.79/mo + $130.00 deductible) Well worth the peace of mind if you paid full price for the phone.

mine transferred over from my 9700 blackberry, it is so relieving to have insurance on a phone you spent $530 on!

For UK users I'd recommend checking with their bank policies since some bank accounts come with phone insurance! Just waiting for my N1 to be delivered before I give my bank a call!
