nexus one is coming to sprint

Sprint just announced via twitter that the nexus one is coming. Just thought everyone would like to know.

Yowza. Hopefully available before my 30 days are up with my Hero! ;)

(I guess the supersonic won't be available before then, huh?

SIGH. Glad they announce it the day my exchange period is over. Now I have to decided whether I want to throw out $500.00 or wait until next summer with my hero.

Now I'm excited! I couldn't wait to get off my carrier, but this being official means I'll just stick it out with my current carrier till the N1 comes out for Sprint! Either that or SS comes out before N1... Who ever comes first gets my business. :D

Cheers!

haha my wife also looked at me like I was crazy when I told her I was going to be a getting a new phone (again).....I sincerely believe the N1 or SS will finally fill my iphone void. Not software wise, but design wise. Both the Moment (which I traded in for the Hero) and the Hero are pieces of s h i t design wise.

Now the battle between the Supersonic and the Nexus One begins! Which will get a large sum of my money?!

Sprint saved itself at least one customer on this one. I was already planning to jump ship when the Verizon Nexus is released. Now its a matter of how long we will have to wait and how much it will be. This is great news!

I just got my hero about two weeks ago - think if I call them they will let me switch to a nexus one? or will the wait for the phone void my 30 day bring back period???

I'll hold off returning my Hero until after next week, they say I have 30 days to return it. Don't really want to go back to my Blackberry Tour if I don't have to...

And they are going to charge me a $35 restocking fee anyway....

I bought mine from Best Buy. They never said anything about a restocking fee but I'm sure there is one. I think if they are activated its 35. Correct me if I'm wrong.

What I don't understand, is why people are jumping carriers like idiots when a new phone comes out.

Like my saying goes,"Carrier first, then phone. What good is a phone if your not happy with the carrier?"

I don't think anyone on this thread is "jumping carriers" because of this news. The only post I can imagine you might be talking about is the one who mentioned leaving the carrier anyway. Either way, if a phone is on a solid network and you have means to switch, why not?

Same here. I'm a pre owner for the time being but can swap phones the first week of June. Was planning on bailing and going to Verizon, but not now.

I actually am jumping carrier, but it's because of the value of the plans first. But since I like to get the latest phone, I'll opt to wait several weeks to transfer to sprint. That way, I'll have the latest phone as well as the best plan value. Hitting two birds with one stone as some would say. :D

I don't know about who you are talking about, but I already was set to get the Samsung Moment come early April. Now the news that there is a better phone coming out soon, might as well wait several more weeks to get it. :)

I googled it earlier today and read that a Sprint Rep. told someone that it would be out in May 2010 and then the Evo would come in June 2010. Food for thought nonetheless. Hopefully it's true.
