Nexus One worth it for AT&T

Looking at possibly getting the Nexus One for AT&T, but with all the bad things I hear and the unsubsidized price, is it really worth $529 because I can get the iPhone 4 32 GB model sub for $299.99

What bad things have you heard? I have an ATT Nexus One, and it is worth every single penny. Hands down the best phone on ATT, and yes, I do mean its even better than the iPhone 4.

Bingo... get the iphone for the discounted upgrade rate.. seel it on ebay for the price of the nexus...

:)

sold my 3g for $360 back in Feb, reupped contract a week ago and my iphone 4 just came today and it's waiting at my office...

that will be up on ebay soon too... free nexus! +

I am open for an upgrade but I am happy with my Nexus One. I might get a new iphone 4 to sell on ebay to pay off the rest of the money I charged for a N1.

Are you guys selling these iphone 4s on ebay unlocked or something to make a profit? :P

Ditto what ragingyeti said.

I've absolutely love my Nexus One. There is no other Android phone I would take over it. And as for AT&T, the coverage has been better than I thought it would be so far. Then again I have not taken it to the iPhone capitals of the world - NY and San Francisco - where AT&T gets slammed.

I was thinking the same thing until I realized that I would have to lock into another 2 year contract with At&t. One of the reasons I got my unsub N1 is so that I wouldn't be tied to a contract.

Recently I picked up a nexus one upgrading from a samsung eternity. I'm really excited that the android platform has really been taking off lately, and am glad for an open alternative to apple. My contract will be expiring in November, and I'm eligible for an upgrade in July so I may or may not try an ebay route.

Att pretty much stabbed customers in the back with the new 2gb data limit (Should have been at least 3gb/mo before the extra $10 per gb goes into effect).

Until the other carriers actually do this as well I wont even consider Att...

I moved from the iPhone 3GS to the Nexus One on AT&T and I couldn't be happier with my phone!

agreed with all the above...love the Nexus One.

The Nexus One (ATT 3G Version) Unlocked is the absolute best phone you can buy to use with ATT. Yes, it is more then worth it, and you can stay free of the 2 year contract.

I would second (or third or fourth) the idea to purchase the iPhone 4 and sell it on ebay. I just looked on ebay, and the iPhone 4 is going for around 700 which makes the cost of the Nexus One around $100 (after tax). Not a bad deal for a great phone.

I got a N1 for AT&T about 2 months ago. While I do like my phone and don't really REGRET my purchase, I do wonder if I would have been better served jumping to Sprint for the EVO or waiting for the new Motorola Droid phones for Verizon. If you want an Android phone with the "true" Android experience and you NEED to stay on AT&T, the Nexus One is the way to go. Every Android phone that is coming subsidized from AT&T won't let you install non-market apps and will come with a bunch of bloatware that you won't be able to remove without rooting.

I really wouldn't bother with buying then selling the iPhone first. It just sounds like a hassle, and not to sound too righteous, but all you'd be doing is taking a phone from someone who (probably) legitimately wants it and just trying to make money off of it.

In conclusion, yes I do recommend getting the Nexus One on AT&T. That said, if you don't mind some restrictions on what you can install (without rooting) and don't mind contracts, you may want to wait a few months for some of the newer Android phones coming on AT&T.

i picked up 2 iphone 4 from AT&T I did NOT activate them and NEVER ACCEPTED the terms and condition. Unless it is implied when ordering it.

I sold them on ebay for 750.00 each. I have a N1 arriving today via fedex.

In my opinion, the only thing the iphone 4 has going for it is the looks and forward facing camera. The actual browser sucks because the top and bottom menus really minimize the viewing area.

Not to mention you can't maintain phone calls if you hold the iPhone4 the wrong way, and let's not forget opening the camera application crashes the iOS.

Smart phone that you can't make phone calls with or take pictures with!...there are suckers born every day and Steve Jobs is laughing his way to the bank!...but hey, it looks cute.
