Accessories Nexus Player - Xbox PC controller

Hi Everyone,

I couldn't find this specific answer online so hoping someone here would know.

I'm looking at purchasing the Xbox 360 wired controller to use with my Nexus Player and Note 4, however, I've found the "Microsoft xbox controller for PC" on sale for much cheaper and wondering if anyone has used this controller.

They look identical, both wired, both from microsoft. If they are the same controller, I don't know why they'd be packaged/marketed separately and priced separately. Here is a link to one site for this item:

Wondering if anyone here has specifically used the "Microsoft Xbox Controller for Windows" on their android deviec. As mentioned, I've searched online, but every thread/site I found discussed the actual xbox 360 wired one, not the "for Windows" version.

I have a very sneaky feeling they're both the same controller. I think I bought the windows one and it worked fine on my Xbox and the wired Xbox One works no problem on my PC.

I can't say for sure if either will work on the Nexus Player though, sorry.
