Nexus S Arbitrage: In the U.S., heading back to London Jan. 9th.

If anyone in London is interested in my purchasing a U.S. Nexus S for them at a U.S. Best Buy, I could try to make some room in my luggage for a few.

According to the San Francisco Best Buy any Nexus S purchased in the U.S. can still be returned at one of the UK Best Buy's in London. It would probably be worth checking with the London Best Buy on this to be sure. Also, I doubt there is a way to return a U.S. purchased unit for the higher UK price, but at least you know your warranty issues can be handled by a brick and mortar retail store in London.

I haven't thought hard about what would be worth the trouble, but how does splitting the difference between the cost of a U.S. vs. U.K. Nexus S sound? Under that formula a U.S. Nexus S with sales tax runs $580, versus a UK price of approximately $667 (1.55 x

As a side note, I used to work at Best Buy and while things have changed since I left due to the currency rates a return would not be possible in London but I would double check for sure. Also if you did return one you would either get a store credit or the money would go back to the purchaser. Just a few things to keep in mind.
