Help Nexus S - New contacts

Hi All,
I have just started using a Nexus S (Android 2.3) and have a problem adding contacts.

The manual states that to add a contact you have to "open 'Contacts', press 'Menu' and then touch 'New Contact'. Sounds straightforward but there is no 'New Contact'. There are:- Contacts to Display, Import/Export, Accounts and Settings but none of these seems to have to facility to add a contact.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

try typing the number in to add it as a new contact. I have the same phone I believe and honestly thats how I have been doing it.
