Nexus S vs Galaxy S vs Desire HD

Hi all

I have a HTC Hero which i think has run its course and was think of which of the more recent phones to upgrade too. Nexus S, SGS or Desire HD

Have been reading and agreeing with the underwhelming nature of the Nexus S however is it the best of the bunch? i've heard many things about the problems of SGS/TouchWiz/Lag/Kies and then theres the Desire HD which now has gone back to an LCD screen and has a terrible battery life

In view of this would the Nexus S be the best bet ?

Do you want a crapware free device that will get Google updates and 3.0 months before anyone else???

I think the Nexus S is a great upgrade coming from anything other than the N1. It's all about that direct line to Google. Up until the NS was released, I personally considered the N1 to be the best phone out there.

I'd say definitely DONT get an SGS. The NS is basically the same phone, but without the glitchy hardware. Plus it has Google supporting it (a very big plus).

The Desire HD has a moderately faster CPU, but its GPU is a bit slower than the NS. It has a few little odds and ends that the NS doesn't, but I still think the NS is a better choice. When it comes to app development and future Android updates, they'll all be designed specifically with the NS in mind. It was this same thing that made the N1 so great, even with phones that outclassed it entirely.

iv currently got a Desire HD but am considering the NS....the only thing that does put me off is the plastic.....just wish it was still HTC....the DHD feels like a phone if you know what i mean, but the NS is google....no manufac. stuff on it....although HTC sense isnt that bad...although i dont use half the stuff!!...think im going to give it a try,i tried the ordinary desire and wish id bought the Nexus 1....so this time nexus here i come...
