This is my first post on this forum/site so I applogize in advance if this is in the incorrect location or a simple question but I dont really know how to put my question into a short search term.
My boss and I recently recieve the Skyrocket II (2.3.6) and Galaxy Note to demo. Another person who use to work here, rooted the Skyrocket so that my boss could use the NFC fucntionality but the Note is still stock. He receved NFC tags today and has been playing around with them. He was sucessfully able to write to a tag using an app. Using that same app, he was also able to read the tag contents. However, from the home screen, the phone does not read the tag. I tried using my personal phone, Galaxy Nexus, and it launched the link he programmed no problem.
Why can he using an app, program a tag, but not be able to launch it from the home screen when we know that the tag works?
My hunch is that even though the rooting enabled the NFC, the OS doesn't have NFC ablities?
Thanks in advanced!
