NFC payment app UK

Does anyone have any knowledge of when NFC payment apps will be released in the UK for android handsets? I've heard that Google wallet might be coming this summer but does anyone have any actual time scales? I'm aware that Orange UK has released 'quick tap' but that's only available to orange customers on certain phones. I'm on T-Mobile, so that rules quick tap out. Anyone heard anything else?

Surely if its on orange, T-Mobile customers will get it? Aren't they the same company now?

If you're rooted Paul O'Brien of Modaco patched the Google Wallet apk last month so that it works in this country.

Thanks for the information but my phone isn't rooted. The orange app is only available to their customers at the minute. T-Mobile is owned by the same accompany as orange but they don't share everything
