Root NFC randomly stops working

Yes I had this problem to I don't know what happened I got my n7 yesterday and it stop working after a hour
 
Im having trouble on the Samsung s3.

Im using the nfc task launcher, nfc is enabled. Just there's no noise and nothing is triggered.

Any ideas of how I can diagnose this issue or anything at all?
 
I've never got it to work on my N7. My Galaxy Nexus works with the neighbor's Motorola and a coworker's S3, so I know the phone works. All phones had a case on, including a thick Otter case on the S3.

I even tried removing my N7's leather case, but nothing. Everything's enabled and I'm running CM10 on my N7.

Just updated to latest CM10.1 nightly, turned off NFC and beam, turned back on and nothing.
 
I ordered a 32 gb N7 this weekend, and tonight restored my stock rom nandroid and updated it to 4.2.2.... NFC works now, go figure.

If you can't get NFC to work, try intimidation. :D

Good to be back. :)

My poor NC was too tired, it wasn't enjoyable trying to run all the new stuff coming out.

Back in the saddle with the N7 now. :)
 
My wife has emotional attachments to hers, but I think I can convince her to upgrade. :D

I still support the NC in the forum, and wonder (out loud) why people want such a slow device.
