The Sunday night game belongs to the Texans. The Chiefs' defense has played a good game. Their receivers have struggled to catch the ball. Rice and Kelce both dropped crucial passes that hit them in their hands. The makeshift O line played pretty good considering they lost another lineman on the first play of the game. It was a sad exhibition for a Chiefs fan to watch. They were really done before this game but they are certainly out of the hunt for post season now. I hope they can rebuild the team while Mahomes is still in his prime.

The Monday night game between the Eagles and the Chargers has to be one of the most sloppy games played this year. They said that there were five turnovers in eleven plays. I've never seen so many fumbles and interceptions. The game has now gone into overtime. I'm expecting a pick six to win the game :)

Well it wasn't a pick six but it was another interception to end the game and give the OT victory to the Chargers. What a hoot!

The Chiefs host the Chargers this weekend. The Chiefs are in a must win situation and need lots of help to make the playoffs while the Chargers are in a great spot for post season. Odds have the Chiefs winning the game. I'm not so sure of that. They have dominated the Chargers in recent years but they are a pale reflection of that winning team this year. They are playing old and banged up players with key members watching this weekend because of injuries. I'm a huge Chiefs fan but it would not hurt my feelings for them to gracefully lose to the Chargers and get out of the way.

Chargers look good, and it's a division game. I don't care if its 10-1 vs. 1-10, division games are harder to win.

Pat's have a hats and t-shirt game this weekend. A win against the Bills and we win the AFC East. Like above, it's a division game, and watching what Buffalo did in the closing minutes of last weeks game, I won't be comfortable with any lead until the clock strikes zero. Fanbases aside, there's a lot of respect between these two teams. I expect a great game.

While I've always been a Pats fan first, the Bills have been a favorite since I watched them during their four consecutive SB years (Patriots dark ages) hoping they would pull through, and frankly, they have a likeable team led by Josh Allen. That said, Go PATS!!!

Whelp, we didn't win the division, and the Chief's got eliminated from the playoffs. Wanna come over for some chili?

We took it on the chin today for sure. I didn't expect the Chiefs to win but I was certain the Pats would. I text my sister.. a huge sports nut like me before the games. I said I expected to lose the Chiefs game and I just hoped we would get out of the game... season... without Mahomes losing a leg. And he limped off the field and is likely done for the year.... sheesh! And hell yes.... that chili looks like some serious eats!!!

What the heck!! Mahomes tore his ACL???
Pretty sad news for the Chiefs nation.. that's for sure. I hope he can fight his way back to again be a special player... it won't be easy. A lot of injuries today. It's a tough game. The Chargers were playing smash mouth football all day. Not putting a blame out there but it was all uphill for the Chiefs without any protection for Mahomes. No O line was a train wreck in the making.

With the big money setting the over/under score at 42 points, It struck me a bit odd that the Steelers seemed to let the Dolphins score two TD's in the 4th to make the total score reach 43. I'm not calling anyone out but it didn't look right and certainly not good for football. I don't bet so I wasn't affected but I'm pretty sure there were some sore losers created over the end of that game.

That was a crazy fourth quarter of football last night. I've never seen a failed lateral turn into a successful two point conversion before. I had given up on the Seahawks making a game of it and then out of nowhere it was overtime and then a win for them.

It's difficult to understand why the Chiefs are currently favored by 3 over the Titans Sunday. Without Mahomes and half of the O line and star cornerback McDuffie and visiting the Titans that seems a bit optimistic to me. I'll watch the game. I'll root for the Chiefs. I'll not be surprised if the Titans should get their third win of the season. The Chiefs have no reason to play and have to be depressed. The Titans have a chance to get a W to hang their hats on.

I called that game. :) I quit watching early. I left out, when predicting the game, that the Chiefs were quitters. I'm embarrassed and they should be ashamed of not putting forth a watch worthy effort. Win or lose and with or without post season prospects, they should put forth the effort they are paid the big bucks for. I understand the offense not performing. They were on their practice squad QB with a beat up makeshift offensive line. I can't make any excuses for the defense. I gave up watching... I've never quit watching them when they were a no chance team. Today I had all I could take so I turned the game off and went riding in the cold. Not upset about the loss but extremely upset about the lack of effort.

The Lions were favored by 7 against the Steelers today. I thought the Steelers played well today. They need to quit playing prevent defense down the stretch. They were lucky it didn't cost them the game today.

The Pats and the Ravens had an enjoyable game to watch tonight. I was rooting for NE so the outcome made the game. :) Lamar left the game just before the half with some sort of back injury that was causing definite pain. I just looked and there isn't an update yet as to his injury and projected recovery.
I will say that their backup, Huntley, played a solid game for the Ravens and built up a two possession lead when the Patriots came back and won the game.

The big Chiefs news is they are moving to Kansas. A 60% state and 40% private adventure will see the franchise move across the border into a domed facility. Kansas has always claimed them and the Royals as their teams but they are located just over the Kansas / Missouri border. I'm sure Missouri isn't very happy. They lost the Rams five years ago and now the Chiefs. Missouri still has the Cardinals baseball team in St Louis but I'm sure the Royals will also migrate to Kansas. It's not like they are leaving Kansas City... it's one huge burb around KC and they will be on the Kansas side for a change.
Both Arrowhead and Kauffman iconic stadiums are over fifty years old. They have been well maintained and have seen upgrades through the years but they are a far cry from the state of the art venues you see today. KC proper and the state of Missouri turned down the tax proposal to build new stadiums in KC. This move is a win win for them. People will still spend their bucks in KC and they can easily travel to the games. The tax burden will be across the state line.

I was wondering if it was a big deal for them to move a few miles or meh. Sounds like meh. I guess that's a good thing for the fan base. I read it's over by the speedway, is that right?
