Help NFL Network stream via HDMI

So I switched my cable provider and the current one does not offer NFL Network. Sooo I saw Verizon has the app, I paid the $10 fee for the month and I thought I would hook the HDMI cable up to the tv and stream away. It turns out that when you plug the HDMI cable into the phone the live stream stops in the NFL Network app.

Does anyone know of a workaround? The "mirror" screen works great for other apps and even archived video on the NFL Network app, it just errors out during live broadcast.

a super bassakwards way is to run the phone thru you computer. If that works then run the computer out to the tv in. Completely and utterly backwards, yes.

Thanks for the reply, that doesn't work, as soon as the APP detects that there is an HDMI connection it stops the video...

Oh well, I found a website online that streams the NFL Network (not the best quality) so I just hook my computer to the tv and watch that way.
