Well, they gave at least a first to get out from under Goff's contract. Then a 1st and a 3rd to get Stafford, which is a lot. But, they have a QB that is as good if not better the Goff for half the salary, and they continue their streak of not picking in the first round of the draft to 7 years. Detroit can swallow hard for two years the Goff contract and then reap the rewards of all the extra draft stock.

true to all of that.....still not a fan of stafford....was hoping for something like Deshaun Watson.......but i guess you would have had to give up the moon for that guy, plus a lucrative contract to keep him.
 
Big day BIG GAME! I'm too excited and nervous to watch all of the pre game stuff. I love the Super Bowl game but when the team I've rooted for since I was a young man is playing it's nothing but stress! I'm good with however it goes down. I would have been hurt if the Chiefs hadn't made it back to the big game. Now that they are in it.. I'm way stressed. I hope that it's an entertaining game that everyone enjoys. Go Chiefs!
 
At my son's workplace they have wagered on the games all year. Small stuff for fun. Today he is the only one going with TB by 3. His group is in Kansas so everyone else has their money on KC. He will root for KC but figures Tom's magic will win the game for TB. He and I both hope that he's wrong. They pick a total points to determine the pot winner and everyone has numbers in the fifties and low sixties. His group anticipates a high scoring game. If so, it should be fun to watch.
 
I'm sorry that my team is playing so poorly. TB is good and with the Chiefs help they are running away with the game. I hope it gets a bit more competitive so it's entertaining in the second half.
