NHL 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs

hey guys,

so it is playoffs for the NHL. is your team in it? are you going to watch?

my team is the LA Kings. they just made the playoffs. they clinched a few days ago and will play the Oilers on Monday. it is the 1st time making the playoffs since 2018. i really hope they can beat them, but the Oilers this year are really good. we do have a very young team but with a good mix of experienced guys....so it will be hard to say how far they will go. we have the goaltenders in Quick and Cal Peterson.

GO KINGS GO!!!!!!!!!!

yikes, they have been bad for a while.....lol....well let's hope their next coach will be better.

i might buy some playoff tickets for the Kings this year. this will be the last time i will get to see one of my favorite players in Dustin Brown play. he just announced that after this year, he will retire.

Are you my son? That's part of why I am a fan, long story but I told him I needed a new team as NJ was awful that year and I was going to adopt the worst team in the standings. He laughed and said as long as they aren't Canadian. Well. Turns out it was the Leafs so yeah, they're my team and have been for a long lot of years. I'm not allowed to discuss them with him, hence the Blackhawks. The Caps are meh with him so I can like them too:rolleyes::D
 
OUCH 8-2 loss.......man my Kings needs some better defense, better special teams play, and better goaltending......we have some work to do in the off season.
 
Go Penguins! I'm not a big NHL fan but I'll watch the playoffs. I'm watching my NBA team the 76ers and having high blood pressure as usual.
 
so my Kings are out as the much better team prevailed. the Oilers were just too strong for our young defense to keep up. next year though and hopefully with a healthy Drew Doughty we can go much deeper into the playoffs.

i think i will root for TB to get back to the finals. would be nice to see them raise the cup one more time. i am a huge Stamko's fan. he has always done me well when i played Fantasy Hockey. haven't played it though since the pandemic started. might start backup again next year.

my friend likes the Dan Le Batard show and apparently, he is a Panther fan. so just to give my friend grief, i have been rooting for TB. He is surprised as well. that is why i love hockey. if you get hot in the playoffs, it does not matter how you fared in the regular season. as long as you make it in, anything can happen.
 
I wonder if the Lightning this season eased off the accelerator a bit during the regular season in order to ramp up for the playoffs. Obviously, they have played a lot of hockey over the past two seasons...
